Battery Testing Services
Development and production of electric, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fuel cell vehicles are increasing each year. A critical component to the success of these vehicles is the battery system. Many automakers and suppliers are facing new safety standards and test methods as these vehicles are developed.
TÜV SÜD provides an array of engineering and battery testing services to support e-mobility programs and has now added the capability to perform abuse, durability, and life cycle testing for automotive batteries, including, but not limited to:

CTIA Battery Certification Program
TÜV SÜD has been appointed by the CTIA as a CTIA Authorized Testing Laboratory (CATL), allowing us to obtain CTIA Battery Certification on your behalf. CTIA Battery Certification is becoming increasingly necessary to satisfy U.S. network operators that your cellular product system is safe. Without certification you may find that the network operators refuse to accept your products.
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Services
As a leading provider of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing and certification, TÜV SÜD America has a global network of state-of-the-art facilities and professional staff. Our capabilities are characterized by numerous accreditations, including NVLAP (National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program), A2LA (American Association for Laboratory Accreditation) and AEMCLRP (Automotive EMC Laboratory Recognition Program). International recognition of our product tests and certifications, allows us to provide valuable assistance in accessing world markets through local service.
